About this item

Designed by Shigeo Mashiro, this dog basket emphasises a flowing, soft shape with robust materials. The result is a curved body with an asymmetrically placed recess that serves as an entrance and a comfortable head and paw rest.

The Mio dog basket stands out with its robust material. The lightfast, weatherproof rope weave means you can use it indoors and outdoors.

Its also lightweight. The aluminium frame means you can move the Mio dog basket from the outdoor deck to the indoor lounge at a moment’s notice.

The durable and water-repellent mattress also ensures optimal lying comfort. The removable, washable cover is also available separately.

The Mio dog basket is available in two sizes.

S: 68 x 58 x 21 cm (L x B x H2), H1 8 cm, Lying area: approx. 47 x 38 cm. It is more suitable for such breeds as Jack Russel, Maltese, Havanese, Yorkshire Terrier, Toy Poodle, French Bulldog, Dachshund, Pug, Boston Terrier, etc.

M: 85 x 75 x 26 cm (L x B x H2), H1 9 cm, Lying area: approx. 65 x 55 cm. It is more suitable for such breeds as Beagle, Border Collie, Shiba Inu, Cocker-Spaniel, Whippet, Schnauzer (Middle), Wheaten Terrier, Australian Shepherd, Pinscher, etc.

Care Instructions

Body

If necessary, wipe with a damp cloth. The rope netting made of polypropylene can be washed off with water.

Mattress

The mattress is machine washable at 40°. Please avoid bleaching and aggressive washing additives. After washing, leave the mattress to air dry on a rack, please do not put it in the dryer.
Cover and mattress are water-repellent but not waterproof due to the seams, so please bring the cushion into the dry in case of heavy or continuous rain.

Cover

The cover is machine washable at max. 40 ° C (gentle cycle).
After washing, let the cover air-dry on a rack – do not put it in the tumble dryer.
If needed, iron the fabric on a low setting suitable for synthetics without steam.
The water-repellent and lightfast fabric is easy to care for and abrasion-resistant, so you can remove stains, dirt and dust with a cloth or with an upholstery brush on your hoover. Please remove stains immediately before they can penetrate deeper into the fabric.
For long durability, we recommend not to leave the cushion as well as the body outdoors in rain and humidity, but to store it in protected and dry rooms.
